Music: By Peter Ilyitch Tchaikovsky (Evgeny Onegin, produced 1879). Libretto based on a poem by Alexander Pushkin. German text by A. Bernhard and M. Kalbeck.

Choreography: By George Balanchine.

Production: Directed and choreographed by George Balanchine. Scenery and costumes designed by H. M. Crayon.

Premiere: February 27, 1962, Hamburgische Staatsoper, Hamburg. Danced by Ballett der Hamburgischen Staatsoper. Conductor: Horst Stein.

Cast: Larina, Maria v. Ilosvay; Tatiana, Melitta Muszely; Olga, Cvetka Ahlin; Filipevna, Ursula Boese; Eugen Onegin, Vladimir Ruzdak; Lensky, Heinz Hoppe; Count Gremin, Arnold van Mill; and others.

Note: Printed programs list no dances or dancers; the choreography included the ball scenes in Acts II and III.
