Choreography: By George Balanchine and Arthur Mitchell.

Production: Lighting by Ronald Bates.

Premiere: May 6, 1971 (Annual New York City Ballet Gala Benefit), New York City Ballet and Dance Theatre of Harlem, New York State Theater. Conductor: Robert Irving. On stage: Tonight Show orchestra, conducted by 'Doc' Severinsen.

Cast: 21 New York City Ballet dancers, 23 Dance Theatre of Harlem dancers. I. INTRODUCTION AND JUMP: New York City Ballet women, men from both companies; II. SCHERZO I: New York City Ballet; III. BLUES: Dance Theatre of Harlem; IV. SCHERZO II: New York City Ballet women; V. BOOGIE WOOGIE: Dance Theatre of Harlem; VI. INTERLUDIUM: women from both companies, Dance Theatre of Harlem men; VII.
