Fantastic opera in Three Acts by Anton Rubinstein
ACT II BALLET


Choreography: By George Balanchine.

Premiere: February 14, 1925, Opéra de Monte-Carlo. Danced by Diaghilev's Ballets Russes. Conductor: Victor de Sabata.

Cast: Lubov Tchernicheva, Léon Woizikowsky, 8 men.

Note: The dance from Le Démon, a lezghinka, was performed as part of the 'Suite de Danses' under the general title L'Assemblée (March 7, 1925, matinee), in the series of concert performances by Diaghilev's Ballets Russes given in the Nouvelle Salle de Musique (Salle Ganne) of the Monte Carlo Casino.
