The mission of The George Balanchine Foundation is to utilize the Balanchine legacy to advance the development of dance and its allied arts in the United States and throughout the world on behalf of the dance community at large. The George Balanchine Foundation issues seven new archival videos. Videos feature principal roles from Pas de Dix, excerpts from The Night Shadow (retitled La Sonnambula), Tarantella, Liebeslieder Walzer, the Coffee variation from George Balanchine's The NutcrackerTM, Hippolyta from A Midsummer Night's Dream, solos from Brahms Schoenberg Quartet, and Duo Concertant, coached by dancers who originated or were major interpreters of these roles.
