The music is played three times, each time with different choreography and cast. In 1982, for the New York City Ballet Stravinsky Centennial Celebration, Balanchine rechoreographed the solo (only the first and last steps were the same as the 1966 version); it was presented alone, titled Variations for Orchestra.
