Note
Created for students before its professional premiere to show the relationship between a classical symphony and classical dance. Originally presented (with Élégie [245] and Circus Polka [230]) on the program of the National Orchestral Society entitled Adventure in Ballet. The scenery for the Ballet Society production was a literal transcription of a design by the Baroque artist Giuseppe Galli Bibiena.
