Balanchine worked with Edward Villella (as Joey) on choreography for ‘Bewitched, Bothered and Bewildered’ in the 1976 Circle in the Square production of Richard Rodgers and Lorenz Hart’s Pal Joey. Villella withdrew from the production before the premiere.
